Thumbs down P:\Code\Base\rtl/IdMgr.h(72) & Dx9Tex.cpp(1232) - WTF??

I have 3 seperate computers in my house, plus a friend about 4 states away from me, and we're all getting the same error.

I've checked RAM, Heat, Drivers, Defrag, Video Settings, Write Combining, and probably a couple other things I'm forgetting and we all keep getting the same 2 error messages:

P:\Code\Base\rtl/IdMgr.h(72)
and
Dx9Tex.cpp(1232)

The Log Queue USUALLY says something about a color not being correctly associated with a model, or a Texture '' missing, or something similar.

I think all 4 computers are running nVidia video cards, though the motherboards vary as do the OS's.

I've tried reinstalling drivers & reinstalling GW, as well. The crashes do not seem to be linked to anything, but rather just at random. Sometimes right after I log in, sometimes on the loading screen, sometimes 2 hours after I log in, sometimes 6 hours after I log in. They don't seem to coincide with any particular action or location, either.

Also, sometimes it pops the user over to the "Hardware Failure Detected" page - though, I've checked the hardware about a half-dozen times and can find no failures. 2 of the 4 computers also sometimes gets the "Repairing Data Archive" thing.

Oh, also DXDiag also turns up no errors and nVidia stress test (10min) detected no anomalies.

Needless to say I'm quite frustrated at this point.

Dx9Tex.cpp(1232) seems to be an error with DirectX 9. Possibly your graphic cards aren't fully compatible with DirectX 9 or you might not have updated the drivers for them? Trying adding the -dx8 flag to you're shortcut.

Right click on your Guild Wars shortcut and select 'Properties'.
In the 'Target Area' field you will see the location of your Guild Wars executable file: "..\Guild Wars\Gw.exe"
Write the desired command line arguments after the quote marks:
"..\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -dx8

See if the error still occurs after that. Do both errors occur at the same time?

Are you running a 32 bit or 64 bit operating system?

No, it's one error or the other. I've reinstalled DX9, so I don't think the problem's with the installation of DX9, especially considering 3 computers with the same error (I'll leave the out-of-state guy out of it, since I can't really test his).

I think the card supports DX9. One computer has an older card, so maybe not, but the other 2 are fairly recent (nVidia GeForce 7950).

I will try the -dx8 parameter when I get home. The only problem with testing this is the error is SOOOO random.

The OSes are WinXP Pro and WinXP Home, all fully patched/updated/service packed.
